Welcome to Quran Friends. These Terms of Service (“Terms”, “Terms of Service”, or “Agreement”) govern your access to and use of Quran Friends (“Company”, “we”, “us”, or “our”), including our mobile application, website (https://quranfriends.com), and related services (collectively, the “Service”).
By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not access or use the Service.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. If you are under 18, you may use the Service only with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian. By accessing or using the Service, you represent and warrant that:
- You are at least 18 years of age, or
- You are using the Service with the approval and supervision of a parent or guardian.
2. Account Registration and Security
To access certain features of the Service, you may need to create an account. You agree to:
- Provide accurate, current, and complete information;
- Maintain the security and confidentiality of your account credentials;
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account;
- Be fully responsible for all activities that occur under your account.
Quran Friends reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that are inactive, incomplete, or suspected of being used for unauthorized activities.
3. Use of the Service
The Quran Friends platform provides access to online learning services including, but not limited to:
- Virtual Quran lessons (Tajweed, Hifz, Recitation, Arabic language);
- Tutor-student audiovisual communication;
- Class scheduling and reminders;
- In-app or direct payments.
You agree to use the Service only for lawful, personal, and educational purposes and not:
- For commercial purposes without permission;
- To harass, abuse, or harm another person;
- To upload viruses, malicious code, or infringe any rights;
- To circumvent the platform (i.e., arranging off-platform lessons with tutors met via the Service).
4. Tutors and Students
Quran Friends acts as a facilitator only. We do not:
- Guarantee the qualifications or performance of any tutor;
- Employ or contract tutors directly;
- Supervise the tutoring sessions.
Tutors are independent contractors, and all teaching agreements are between students and tutors directly. Tutors are responsible for setting their own rates, schedules, and policies.
5. Payments and Fees
- Quran Friends may charge platform usage fees, subject to change with notice.
- Tutors may charge fees directly to students, outside of Quran Friends, unless in-app payment is available.
- Users are responsible for verifying agreed rates with tutors before starting sessions.
- Fees are generally non-refundable unless otherwise stated.
If a refund is requested due to service disruption or technical issues, users may contact us within 48 hours, and refund decisions will be at our sole discretion.
6. User Conduct
You agree not to:
- Violate any local, national, or international law;
- Upload or distribute offensive, unlawful, or harmful content;
- Impersonate any person or entity;
- Misrepresent your identity, age, or qualifications;
- Use the Service for political, terrorist, or fraudulent purposes.
We reserve the right to monitor and review user activity to ensure compliance with these Terms.
7. Prohibited Use
Quran Friends strictly prohibits:
- Off-platform arrangements with tutors without consent;
- Recording or distributing class content without permission;
- Soliciting or advertising to other users;
- Use of bots, scripts, or automated tools on the platform.
Violation of these rules may lead to account suspension or termination without refund.
8. Intellectual Property
All content, logos, trademarks, software, and materials provided on the platform are the intellectual property of Quran Friends or its licensors. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reproduce any materials without prior written permission.
Tutors retain rights to their own content (e.g., worksheets or class material), but grant us the right to host and display such materials within the platform.
9. Privacy
Your use of the Service is subject to our Privacy Policy, which outlines how we collect, use, and protect your personal data.
10. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time:
- If you breach these Terms;
- If your activity is unlawful or unsafe;
- If requested by legal authorities;
- Without prior notice, at our sole discretion.
You may also delete your account by contacting us. We may retain your data as required by law or for legitimate business purposes.
11. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” Quran Friends makes no warranties or representations regarding the accuracy, availability, reliability, or completeness of the Service. We do not guarantee any educational outcomes, tutor performance, or uninterrupted access.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Quran Friends shall not be liable for:
- Any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages;
- Loss of data, profits, or revenue;
- Unauthorized access or use of your data;
- Any actions by tutors or users outside the platform.
In any event, Quran Friends’ total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you (if any) to use the Service in the past 3 months.
13. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Quran Friends and its affiliates, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, or liabilities arising from:
- Your use or misuse of the Service;
- Your violation of these Terms;
- Your violation of any rights of a third party.
14. Third-Party Services and Links
The Service may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or services of those third parties. Accessing them is at your own risk.
15. Modifications to the Terms
Quran Friends may modify these Terms at any time. If we make material changes, we will notify users via email or a prominent notice on the platform. Continued use of the Service after such changes constitutes your acceptance.
16. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt. Any disputes shall be resolved exclusively in the courts of Alexandria, Egypt.
